Today we feature the work of Andre Meca. Andre is responsible for all of the textures at the FanExtra network, including our popular Texture Thursday series.

What many of you may not know is that he is also a hugely talented graphic designer. Andre’s work has a very retro style, and he adheres to this trend very well. His work is often minimal, yet integrates retro illustrations, geometric designs and subtle textures.

    Cool works Andre! I love the grainy vintage feel to these images. Although some of them appear simple in form, they work and are beautifully executed.

      I agree, they are really beautifully executed. Often the simplest works are the hardest to pull off too, these types of minimal design are deceptively difficult to get right, and to make look authentic.

    Some really nice pieces in here with a very retro look to them. Having the imagery not looking so perfect and computer generated is really refreshing as sometimes the computerised look just doesn’t fit right with a certain project. I really like the typography in the insanity piece too. it matches the artwork well and is really beautiful.
