Featured Artist: Irina Vinnik

Irina Vinnik a really talented artist from Russia. Her work is generally based on her hand-drawn pieces, which she scans into Photoshop and applies color, texture and outlines. Her work is most impressive because of the level of detail, with minute details constructing all of her work. Irina’s mixed media approach means that her work is visually rich, with plenty of depth. The fine lines and details of her original drawings are beautifully combined with the soft lighting, colors and textures applied digitally.

Some really beautiful work in here, the illustrations are so intricate, with incredible detail. When you look at them they have the initial wow factor but when you look closer you notice new things every time and cant help but follow the lines with your eyes and somehow manage to find your eyes led around the whole page.

Couldn’t agree more guys! It’s the detail in Irina’s work that really draws me to it! The 2011 calendar is one of my favorite all time illustration projects.
