Today I’d like to introduce a new weekly post series: featured artists. We’ve come to realize that whilst every design blog features typical roundup posts, very few actually give much deserved credit to the huge creative talents within the industry.
Well we’re keen to recognize these talents, and hopefully give something back to the community in doing so. Furthermore, we feel that this is where the real inspiration lies. Anyone can Google ‘retro Photoshop brushes’ but it can be tricky to discover some of the hidden gems of the community. The artist’s we’ll be featuring are all incredibly talented, and give us all something to aspire to.
We hope that you enjoy the new weekly series, and would love to get some feedback. Feel free to vote below and let us know if you’re interested in checking out digital talent:
Today we’re kicking things off with one of my favorite digital artists, Pawel Nolbert. Pawel is a hugely inspiring artist from Warsaw, Poland. He specializes in vibrant photo manipulations that display endless levels of detail and finesse. For me what makes the difference between a good artist and a great artist is this keen eye for detail, and in each one of Pawel’s works you get a feeling for the time and attention spent on each area. Check out some of his work below:
Tiger – The World
Polaroid Grey Label
Art Direction
Nvidia – 3D Your PC
Cosentino ECO
Chocolatopia
Cappy KV
Avatar The Game
The KDU
Redds Ekspresja Redds
Naturally Create
If you’d like to explore more of Pawel’s work then you can check out his various online hangouts:
Tom is the founder of PSDFAN. He loves writing tutorials, learning more about design and interacting with the community. On a more interesting note he can also play guitar hero drunk with his teeth.

Great work Pawel! I really enjoyed the feature and have been following your work for a while on Behance. Keep up the great work!
Wow some amazing pieces! He does have an excellent use of vibrant colors and very eye-catching work!
Yeah Pawel has some incredible work and has been an inspiration for me for a while now. It’s perhaps his most popular but Chocolatopia never ceases to amaze me .
I agree, Chocolatopia is a really wonderful piece, especially the lighting and the values of the piece. Tiger – The World and Cappy KV are also pretty stunning I think.
