FanExtra Surpasses 2000 Design Resources (Plus Win a Free Membership)

2000 Quality Design Resources (and Counting!)

Hey PSDFANs! Today I’m extremely excited to announce that our main network site FanExtra has surpassed 2000 exclusive design resources! It’s amazing to think back to the early days of our network when we offered just a few basic source files.

Now that our network is over 4 years old, and our members area is over 3 years old we can really see how much things have evolved.

FanExtra Network

Here are some notable milestones:

  • We now have an awesome members community consisting of hundreds of happy members
  • We’ve just hit 50 members-only advanced tutorials, with new advanced tutorials being published every single week.
  • We’ve surpassed 2000 quality design resources, which now range from brush sets to vector packs, icon sets, UI kits, web element packs, design discounts, Photoshop patterns, textures, source files and more!
  • Our refund rate is below 1%, something which we are extremely proud of.
  • We’ve received consistently positive feedback about our timely and helpful support.
“I have thoroughly enjoyed the resources available at FanExtra. It’s clean and easy to navigate and as an enthusiastic Digital Artist I find the tutorials to be of a standard higher than anything else on the web.”

- Ken Edgar (Happy Member)

None of this would have been possible without all of you. It’s been fantastic watching our community grow and improve over the past few years, and I’m really excited about where we’re heading.

Exciting Network Improvements

We’ve been listening carefully to your feedback and ideas and as a result have been making big changes to our network.

Probably our most important change is to provide more and better tutorials. You guys consistently tell us that the tutorials are your favorite aspect of our network. So we thought we’d better listen!

We’ve been bringing on board a team of talented new tutorial authors that ensure our tutorials are not only more detailed, more advanced and more professional, but more varied, regular and creative. We’re focusing strongly on photo manipulation lessons, drawing/vector lessons and web design lessons.

In the past members-only tutorials could be more sporadic, whereas now we never miss a week. Every week we bring you an exclusive advanced tutorial that really takes your skills beyond the free tutorials that we publish on a regular basis.

We also have a range of other improvements planned for the network:

  • We’ve started offering professional UI kits and web element packs.
  • We are bringing back our members-only discounts, offering great discounts on relevant services and products.
  • We’ve started work on video content – something a lot of you have requested.
  • We have a secret content area lined up that we’re VERY excited about. We can’t reveal too much right now, but I will say that this will give you insight into the exact techniques being used by some of the world’s top digital artists.
  • Members only contests.

To celebrate reaching our 2000 resource milestone we want to give one lucky PSD.FanExtra reader a free 12 month membership for FanExtra. • You can enter more than once, with multiple tutorial suggestions.
  • The contest is not open to PSDFAN/FanExtra authors.

Best of luck to everyone and I look forward to hearing your tutorial suggestions!

Tips and tricks tutorial using the new CS6 photoshop, illustrator. There are so many new features that it’s nearly impossible to find or use them all. There are so many gems hidden in the new programs. That would be awesome. Thanks.

Hi Niyaz. Great suggestion. Do you have a specific example of the type of work you mean though? That would help us put together a tutorial to fit your needs.

Congratulations on the milestone, Tom! Way to go!

I am interested in depth and shading tutorials in photo-manipulations. Applying the effects in a manip-tut is the best way to learn how the effects should look. Either video or written – that wouldn’t matter.

Thank you so much! Here’s to another prosperous year!
