Thanks Eric! I agree about the lighting, that is something that I noticed after publishing this tutorial. To be honest it was quite a tough job to blend the two images, so lighting wasn’t an easy fix. I really liked how the watercolor background effect turned out though when combined with textures/lighting effects.

Nice tutorial Tom! I kinda like the animal head in this composition – I have seen the original photo enough, but the only thing I would have added to this is maybe some lighting on the top or side of the animal’s head just to match the lighting on the guy’s shoulder and neck area. I dig the composition and the background also!

Thanks Nassima! I agree, the original photo is pretty awesome, but I was trying to demonstrate some blending techniques and photo-manipulation with this tutorial.
