PSDFan Extra

A Look at our Upcoming Forum

Hey creatives! You may have noticed that we’ve been a little quiet here the past couple of weeks.

To be honest, I’ve been working incredibly hard to setup a huge new part of the site for you guys.

Take a look at the video below to learn more (and see a very unprofessional blooper on my part):

It’s been incredible helping so many of our members to improve and seeing their reaction when they realize what they’re capable of producing! Here’s what one member, Jess Brown emailed me saying:

As a beginner graphic designer, I have been struggling with creating graphics the best they can be. I really didn’t have anyone to critique my graphics and give me the help I needed. Then I joined FanExtra and started working with Tom. He’s been so great in helping me improve the quality of a graphic I have been struggling with for a client. He’s reviewed several drafts, provided honest, helpful feedback, and even checks in with me to see how I’m doing. Tom goes above and beyond and when he says he’ll help you, he REALLY will! I strongly recommend FanExtra and working with Tom. You will benefit and improve your skills no matter what level you’re at.

The new forum is coming very soon, so look out for it!

About the Author:

Tom is the founder of PSDFAN. He loves writing tutorials, learning more about design and interacting with the community. On a more interesting note he can also play guitar hero drunk with his teeth.

Love it, from tip to tail. Thanks for not going back over to make it ‘un-fumbly’ at the end, either. I’m excited about where this is going……!! Seriously, great work and looking forward to gnoshing on ideas in a forum space with other creatives :)

Looking forward to this new community. Thanks for all your hard work and effort Tom.

Thanks so much Rosa :) . It’s been something I’ve thought about for a long time, but the timing definitely feels right, as so many of our members are getting one on one help, it just made sense to have all this in a central place.

I really hope you’ll get great value from it!

Thanks so much Andy! I literally just opened it up to early adopters to test the system. I’m really excited to bring our awesome community together in one place though.

Great video Tom! The forums have been great so far and I hope that it continues to grow and help all of the members of the community. I love the end of the video personally – it was a very humanizing moment and you are still the man!

Cheers mate! It’s been so much fun in the community already, and it’s awesome to see everyone bonding and benefiting from the critiques. You’ve been a huge asset, so thanks for the ongoing efforts.

I’ve learnt to keep bloopers in these days ;)

Sounds cool Tom! I love design forums with a good sense of community, which it sounds like you’re creating. It feels like there’s not as many compared to 5 years ago. Looking forward to it! Will it be available to everyone or it is strictly for your FanExtra members?
