A Collection of New Dark Web Designs

Today we take a look at some of the best new dark web designs out there. These designs are super fresh, and each is very impressive.

We’ll look over each design, analyzing what is effective, and looking at how the designers use the conventions of dark web-design to push their products and content.

The Jacket Room

The Jacket Room’s design really fits with it’s elegant, high-end mode of business. The simple graphic creates the illusion of a tuxedo, and the white on black color-scheme is both clean and elegant.

Parveen Verma

Parveen Verma uses a dark, grungy style for their website. The gritty design style mixes perfectly with the emotive splashes of blood and dark stories within the site’s content.

Colmar Brunton

Colmar Brunton instantly creates a clear, straight-to-the-point welcome message, and the site’s design fits perfectly with this. This simplistic, dark website integrates clear icons, and lots of white space to make for a very usable web experience.

DesignZillas

DesignZillas uses a dark color-scheme that allows the brighter visual elements to really pop. The colorful dinosaur illustration really stands out in contrast to the darker background. The same can be said for the bright call-to-action buttons, this is a great example of how to manipulate the users eye.

Owain Lewis

Owain Lewis combines a dark color-scheme with some great typography. Design-wise the site is fairly simple, yet the elegant typography is both highly legible and design-orientated, creating a very attractive design.

Deniz Arkan

Deniz Arkan’s website is really beautiful, combining splashes of color and beautiful attention to detail. The dark color-scheme results in an atmosphere, moody design.

Sofa Surfer

Sofa Surfer (now DigitalLabs) is a really clean, professional website. The choice of colors is spot on, and the brighter colors really stand out against a surrounding dark color scheme.

Mog Design

MogDesign uses a fairly muted color-scheme and a black-gray background gradient. The type is very readable, starkly contrasting the dark background.

Glitch

The dark background of the Glitch website creates the illusion of a night sky. The prominent teaser video immediately attracts the eye, and the 1 column centered layout creates a simple web experience.

Atom Eye

The tagline of Atom Eye ‘Keep it Simple’ certainly applies to their design. The site is very simple and elegant, with plenty of white space. Overall it feels very ordered, sticking closely to a grid system.

Phone Balls

Asides from having a hilarious company (be sure to read the text on the homepage), PhoneBalls has a very professional dark layout. The black background ties in with the traditional Iphone color, and the gradient highlight draws attention to their product photo.

Endorse

The gray and yellow colorscheme for Endorse works beautifully, and combined with attractive typography and subtle design touches creates a very appealing web design.

PR1PAD NEWS

PR1PAD NEWS uses a fairly simple layout and dark background in order to draw attention to the various news posts and images published on the site.

Antonio Salas

Antonio Salas is a really great looking site. It integrates a photo into the dark background, creating the illusion of perspective. The dark colorscheme fits really well with the grungy, moody visuals.

Element Gallery

Element Gallery’s dark background gives the illusion of a blackboard, which works perfectly with the hand-drawn style typography. The bright colors are somewhat faded, creating a slightly grungy feel to the site.

Image X Media

Image X Media is a dark, but very bold web design. The metallic touches, bright photos and starkly contrasting typography all help create a website that is full of impact.

Drysdale Jiu Jitsu

Drysdale Jiu Jitsu combines blue and black overlays to create a really stunning background effect. The dark color-scheme gives added impact to the prominent images of the instructor.

Hzse Design

Hzse Design is a website that uses a lot of contrast. The bold visuals, and white typography really stand out against the black background.

What’s On

What’s On uses a dark gray background in order to give prominence to the product photo, displaying their app. The generally muted color-scheme means that the splashes of color are really engaging.

Danny Diablo

Danny Diablo plays on his name by integrating stunning fire graphics over a dark background. The burst of fire work really well, and result in a sleek, impressive web experience.

Great collection of dark websites, love the muted colours on Element Gallery very sexy indeed. The Jacket Room is good but I think it misses out not having some sort of movement, a flash or jquery would have complimented the design. Generally good work though thanks.

Interesting to see how differently people approach their layout and content – even within a very narrow base colour range you can see the variety and creativity going on here. I like all of them. :o )

  5. Dark websites have always been a favourite of mine and these are all great examples. The use of other colours compliment the dark backgrounds and make them look stunning. Thanks for sharing.

Some brilliant dark web sites here. I am a big fan of dark sites with a light coloured text. I personally think they read much easier than black text on white.

I really like the texture used on Parveen Verma, but Element Gallery has to be my personal favourite. The chalkboard look is different to anything I have seen before and works really well, they have done a good job in getting the chalk effect across.

I think around 80% of my websites are dark based backgrounds, only do I use light colour for very corporate clean looking sites.

    Thanks for sharing

  8. Very inspiring collection
