Featured Artist: Edmar Cisneros

Edmar Cisneros is an amazing digital artist from Mexico. His portfolio contains some of my favorite ever pieces so I hope that you’ll learn a little more about him and check out his work.

Edmar’s work often revolves around dark themes such as death, the macabre and the mystical. His complex conceptions possess an acute attention to detail, and often feature realistic lighting effects and environments.

What I love most about Edmar’s work is how he’ll produce a totally unrealistic, magical outcome, yet totally sell it to the viewer. He has the ability to take these magic scenes and make them entirely believable – the true mastery of photo manipulation.

I recommend that you go and check out Edmar’s full portfolio as he has plenty more great work to offer.

Wow! I love the artwork! I checked out the artist’s DeviantArt pages. I am in awe! My fave is “Longing”. In fact, I’m giving the tutorial for it a whirl. Edmar shows how to do things that are new to me in tutorials, like the added hair. It’s really doing things up right!
Thank you for another great artist feature!

Thanks for the feedback Su! I agree, Edmar’s work is so inspiring. Hopefully he’ll be joining our tutorial team here at PSDFAN, so you’ll have even more great tuts to learn from.

Oh my lord~ You don’t have to be a professional designer to appreciate these works. I’m really just starting to learn to design and every time I look at works like these I get inspired to work even harder to hopefully one day at least have the technical knowledge to even attempt such artistry. They’re simply spectacular!

    • Tom says:

I couldn’t have put it better myself Mike! It takes many years to get this kind of artistry, but it’s definitely worth the time and patience.

Btw, I’ve removed the affiliate link in your comment, as we don’t permit this at PSDFAN.
