BK Graphix specializes in quality motor-sports apparel:
In the space of 5 minutes I can identify some of the key strengths and weaknesses of this design, and sketch out a mockup.

As always, I was limited by the 30 minute time-frame, but I tried to improve upon several of Bk Graphix’s features, adding a few design flourishes and a clearer layout that promoted content over wasted space:
WHAT I TRIED TO DO:
Here is a quick comparison between the original design and my 30 minute redesign. Sure, my design could be more polished, but I believe that a lot of the basic elements have been improved upon, creating a more pleasant browsing experience.

A more professional design. I´m not a big fan of dark backgrounds, but seems to work pretty well here.
I wonder how the inner pages would work, considering they are a bunch of pretty colorful graphics in there.

Again another fantasic re-design.
I would like to put the “Peter Allen Memorial Lectures” ( http://www.paml.info ) foward again for a redesign. I am a web developer but my design skills are non-existant. The website is built using Drupal and a stock theme. I/we would love to use a better layout, in preperation for our planning for our 2011 event.
We would be more than willing to convert the theme to HTML and Drupal and make available to all to benifit from.

I like the redesign, it makes the flow of the site more simple and easy to follow while still being visually stimulating.
I’d like to throw http://www.dmu.edu in the list of potential 30 min redesigns. We’re a medical school and are just starting the process of evaluating our current site for an upcoming major overhaul and would love any input we can get!
