These are interesting, but how flexible are they? Don’t most designers prefer to get PSD templates so they can modify the colors and graphics, etc. before going from PSD to HTML?
Don’t be absurd. If you are a designer and need PSD template, then you probably don’t know Photoshop. Speaking as a designer, I rather create my own designs than just use someone else’s template and modify it.
I also create my own designs, but particularly if I need a quick fix for a smaller project of mine (a personal blog for a friend etc…) then templates are hugely useful. That being said, I generally wouldn’t modify them too much in this case. However, template modifications are a prevalent thing, even amongst designers. Sometimes we all need a convenient solution.
An awesome pack of xHTML/CSS Templates with different themes have a very beautiful interface and a great usability to a websites that all purely build by using only CSS and HTML techniques.

but, am I the only one that got a bit of a chuckle out of the template for the site for a web designer?
I can understand a designer perhaps using a template for a quick and cheap site or even a placeholder while doing a custom design / coding…
but would any self-respecting web designer use a template for their own site?
I’m with you on that one actually. Unless it’s pretty heavily modified, in which case you could use it more as a framework (almost like the 960 grid system).
I see this for a person like me, who needs to make updates, needs a new updated website, but can not afford a new website every 3 -4 years. I am not a developer, wish I was of course, know a little dreamweaver, nothing in CSS, a little photoshop and that is it. Some SEO, but my business is so web based driven. These templates are great. But how user friendly to a person like me are they would be the question. I bought two templates in the past, could not work with them, money down the drain and end up having a site developed at the end of the day. So the concept is great, but who is the customer and what knowledge base do they need and software? Just my two cents…;-)

Very much the Acallia template – stylish and modern was pleasant; the successful main page with a slider. After some completions I introduced to myself on a site. I changed design a little. I remade on HTML5 and CSS3.
